Dr Kinza Ijaz is a dedicated General Practitioner with over seven years of medical experience. Originally from Pakistan, she has been living and working in Australia for the past four and a half years. Prior to joining the Gympie Day and Evening Clinic, Dr Ijaz worked extensively at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
Her hospital experience spans a wide range of specialties including general medicine, emergency medicine, mental health, palliative care, orthopaedics, gynaecology, and obstetrics. She has also worked in dedicated mental health wards, further strengthening her comprehensive approach to patient care.
Dr Ijaz has a special interest in women’s health and antenatal care. She is experienced in providing a range of contraceptive services, including the insertion and removal of Implanon and Mirena devices. She is also expanding her practice to include skin cancer checks, biopsies, and minor surgical excisions. Additionally, she performs clinical procedures such as ingrown toenail removals.
Outside of her medical practice, Dr Ijaz enjoys spending quality time with her family, reading, and travelling.
