Gympie Day and Evening Clinic was founded in 2023 with a simple but powerful vision: to make high-quality, accessible GP care available to every member of the Gympie community not just during business hours. We recognised that many Gympie residents families, working professionals, shift workers, and retirees were missing out on timely medical care simply because their GP closed before they could get there. We built our clinic to change that.
Located in the heart of Gympie at 30 Excelsior Road, our practice is purpose-built for both convenience and comfort. With extended weekday hours until 9:00 pm and weekend appointments available, we are one of the most accessible general practices in the Wide Bay region of Queensland.
Our team of experienced, AHPRA-registered General Practitioners brings together a breadth of clinical expertise from family medicine and women’s health to chronic disease management, skin health, and travel medicine. Bulk billing is available for all eligible Medicare card holders on standard consultations, ensuring that cost is never a barrier to seeing your doctor.

Our clinic is open late most evenings, but for those times when we are closed, we want to make sure you always have access to quality medical care.
We partner with Hello Home Doctor Service an accredited after-hours home visiting service that bulk bills eligible Medicare and DVA cardholders. Their doctors come to you when your regular GP is unavailable.
If you or someone else is experiencing a life-threatening emergency including chest pain, difficulty breathing, loss of consciousness, or severe injury call 000 immediately. Do not wait for a GP appointment. For urgent but non-emergency care, you can also visit your nearest emergency department.

Yes. Gympie Day and Evening Clinic bulk bills all eligible Medicare card holders for standard GP consultations, meaning there is no out-of-pocket cost for your visit. Patients who do not hold a valid Medicare card are charged a consultation fee of $100. Please note that some services — including procedures, adult ADHD assessments, and medicinal cannabis consultations — are privately billed. We are open Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 9:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. We are also open on public holidays (same hours as Saturday and Sunday). Evening appointments are available on weeknights, making it easy to see a doctor outside of standard business hours.
